Whistleblower Policy

Introduction

At Firenor International AS, part of the Concejo Group, we are committed to fostering a transparent and ethical workplace across all our subsidiaries. We believe that misconduct should not go unreported, and we provide clear and secure channels for confidential whistleblowing. If you suspect any wrongdoing, whether ongoing or past, we encourage you to report it so that we can take appropriate action. Together, we aim to protect the trust of our employees, customers, and the public.

All reports are initially handled by Advokatfirman Lindahl to ensure independent management. Internal representatives may later take over the case as needed.

This whistleblower policy applies to Firenor International AS and all its subsidiaries.

Who Can Report?

You are eligible to submit a whistleblower report and receive protection if you are:

  • An employee
  • A volunteer
  • An intern
  • A contractor, subcontractor, or supplier who has become aware of misconduct within our company

Reports can be submitted even if your relationship with the company has ended or has not yet started.

What Can Be Reported?

You should report any suspected misconduct or violations of laws and regulations. Examples of serious misconduct include:

  • Fraud, theft, or corruption
  • Violations of workplace safety or environmental regulations
  • Harassment or discrimination
  • Financial misconduct, such as improper accounting practices
  • Any other unethical or illegal behavior that could harm individuals or the company

All reports of unethical or illegal behavior are treated as whistleblowing matters, regardless of whether they meet legal criteria.

How to Report?

Written Reporting

To file a report, use our whistleblower platform, Visslan, available through the Concejo website. When submitting a report, please provide as much detail as possible to ensure that the issue is fully addressed. You can also attach supporting documents, such as written statements, images, or audio files.

Anonymous Reporting

You can report anonymously, and this will not affect your legal protection. However, anonymous reports may limit our ability to fully investigate, so we may request additional information later, under strict confidentiality.

Oral Reporting

If you prefer, you can submit a report by uploading an audio file through Visslan, where you describe the issue in detail as you would in writing.

External Reporting

While we encourage internal reporting, if you find it inappropriate or difficult to report internally, you can also submit reports directly to authorities. Contact details for external reporting can be found here.

Your Rights as a Whistleblower

Right to Confidentiality

Throughout the reporting process, your identity will be protected, and only authorized personnel will have access to the case. We will not disclose your identity without your consent unless required by law.

Protection from Retaliation

You are protected from any form of retaliation, including dismissal, job changes, or other forms of discrimination. This protection also extends to colleagues, supervisors, or anyone who assists you in the reporting process.

Right to Feedback

Within 7 days of submitting your report, you will receive a confirmation. We will also provide updates on actions taken within 3 months of receiving your report.

Public Disclosure

If no appropriate action is taken within 3 to 6 months of internal or external reporting, or if there is an immediate risk to public safety, you may publicly disclose the information and still be protected under whistleblower laws.

GDPR and Data Protection

We handle personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Irrelevant personal data will be deleted, and reports will be stored only as long as necessary, with a maximum retention period of two years after the case is closed.

For more details on our data handling practices, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
